Our Deepest Fear
Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that
we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light not our darkness that frightens us.
We ask ourselves, ‘who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous.’ Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of god. Your playing small doesn’t serve the world.
There’s nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you.
We were born to make manifest the glory of god that is within us.
It’s not just in some of us; its in everyone.
And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people the permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.

The Starfish Story
One Day a man was walking along the beach when he noticed a boy picking something up and
gently throwing it into the ocean. Approaching the boy, he asked "What are you doing?'.
The youth replied "throwing starfish back into the ocean.
The surf is up and the tide is going out. If I don't throw them back, they'll die"
"Son," the man said, "don't you realise there is miles and miles of beach and thousands of starfish?
You can't make a difference!"
After listening politely, the youth bent down, picked up another starfish, and threw it back into the surf.
Then, smiling at the man, he said...... " I made a difference to that one."
